Assisted breathing training

The first striking feature of the DAVOSA Apnea Diver Automatic is the multicoloured ring on the edge of the dial. It is only by chance that it is composed of the French national colours. In fact, the colours blue, white and red correspond to the breathing training for freediving according to a worldwide standardised pattern: in the five-second blue phase, the breath is taken, then held for 15 seconds (white area) and then exhaled for a further 10 seconds (red area). Without having to count or stop, the freediver can fully concentrate on the vital breathing training with the help of this colour code.

Nik Linder has set five world records in distance diving under ice, two German records in distance diving in the lake, has passed the longest underwater kiss as well as the longest apnoea dive hanging from the ceiling with his head in the aquarium - no question, he can hold his breath and knows when he has to resurface. The freediving star relies on the DAVOSA Apnea Diver Automatic, which he co-developed.

For breathing exercises, the watch must be easy to set up - if possible without improvised support measures. The DAVOSA Apnea Diver Automatic offers a solution to this problem and proves to be a professional for free divers even on dry land: if you unscrew the crown on the "3", the middle section of the slightly curved, 46 mm stainless steel case can be removed. With the help of a hinged ring attached to the middle section, the diver can now safely place the remaining watch container during his exercises.
