New Collection Pontus Pilot

The arresting dial design of the DAVOSA Regulateur was originally conceived of as a design study for the Basel watch trade fair in the spring of 2009. Transforming the appearance of the Regulateur into an aviator timepiece was considered by many too bold an idea.

The excitement generated by the face of the Pilot Regulateur with its matt-black background and white Super-LumiNova figures and hands was so tremendous, however, that the model is now in series production. The small red second hand at 6 o’clock adds an additional spice to the overall composition.

The pilot look is perfectly complemented by the powerful impression created by the three-piece stainless steel case (316L). Satined, polished details add a touch of variety. The 6-pinned, screw-in back contains a large hardened mineral glass window, giving lovers of mechanics a perfect view of the Regulateur’s movement. The decentral time display is controlled by a modified ETA/Unitas hand-winding calibre 6498 with aesthetic finesses such as blued screws, a Geneva striped finish and rhodium plating.

A black, classic calfskin leather strap with contrast stitching and a pin buckle perfectly round off the DAVOSA Pilot Regulateur.
